FAQ Answers 1) When can I buy an extended warranty? For most products, extended warranty protection does not need to be purchased at the store. As long as 90 days remain on the original manufacturer warranty (or 60 days remaining if the original manufacturer warranty was 90 days), you can buy a warranty on our website. If your product has split warranty terms (i.e. 90 days labor and 1 year parts), extended warranty coverage must be purchased in the first 30 days post product purchase. 2) Can I buy an extended warranty if my manufacturer warranty has expired? No. Unfortunately our warranties must be purchased with at least 90 days remaining on the manufacturer warranty (at least 60 days if the manufacturer warranty is 90 days). 3) What dollar amount is the extended warranty protection based on? The dollar amount is based on the cost of the product being covered excluding tax, shipping and handling charges. When choosing a warranty, always choose the price level immediately
above the cost of your product. For example: If you purchased an LCD TV for $970 (excluding tax, shipping and handling), the appropriate extended warranty plan would be one in the Television (LCD & CRT) category and that is at the Under $1,000 level (always choose the dollar amount level immediately above the price of the item purchased). 5) What
coverage does the RepairMaster plan provide? Is there a deductible? All plans have zero deductibles. The RepairMaster service plan will match the manufacturer's original warranty terms for the length of the extended warranty period. See the full terms and conditions at the bottom of our FAQ page to see exactly what will be covered by the warranty. All Repair Master plans offered by Xwarranties offer the following key benefits:
6) When does the RepairMaster plan start providing coverage? Depends on the type of coverage purchased: a) Date of Purchase (DOP) Plans: Coverage starts from the date of the product purchase and provides protection once the original manufacturer warranty expires. For example, if you purchase a 3 year DOP plan for a product that has a 1 year manufacturer warranty, protection by RepairMaster is for years 2 and 3, after expiration of the initial one year manufacturer warranty. In this example all warranty issues during the first year of ownership should be directed to the manufacturer. b) Warranty Extensions: Extensions begin at the conclusion of the shortest portion of the manufacturer warranty. If the manufacturer warranty was 90 days labor and 1 year parts, the extended warranty would begin on the 91st day and continue for the duration of the extended warranty period. 7) What will I receive when I purchase a warranty? What is shipped to me? You will receive a warranty document in the mail that contains a membership number that you use to register the warranty on the RepairMaster Website. 8) How do I register my RepairMaster warranty? Customers can register by visiting www.myrepairmaster.com or by calling 877-263-7403 (Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. To 5:00 P.M. CT). On the RepairMaster website type in your unique membership number (in the warranty document that is shipped to you), the screen will unlock which will allow the simple registration process to proceed. 9) Where do I find my RepairMaster model and membership numbers? Your Repair Master model number is located on the top right of your service plan (that is shipped to you) and is usually preceded by the letters A-RMC, A-RMT, A-RMV, A-RMX, A-RML, A-RMH, A-RMAP or A-RMHT. Your membership number is the 13 digit number located on the inside of your service plan. 10) Who will service my product? RepairMaster has a nationwide network of factory-authorized service centers in the U.S. (over 12,000). Once you provide the product brand, category and zip code, RepairMaster determines the specific service provider. 11) Whom do I contact if I have an issue with my covered product? If the product is no longer covered under the original manufacturer warranty and is now covered by the extended warranty, you can contact RepairMaster 24/7 at 800-292-7726 or go to www.myrepairmaster.com. 12) Can I buy a warranty for a product I use for commercial purposes? No. Our warranties are for personal product use only. 13) Can I buy a warranty for a product I received as a gift? Yes. Ideally you have a gift receipt for the product as well. For proof of the cost of the product, use the prices on several shopping websites to prove what warranty tier should be used for the product. Keep the website prices as backup in case a question ever arises. 14) Can I buy a warranty for a refurbished product? Yes as long as there is a minimum of 90 days original parts and labor warranty from the manufacturer. 15) Full RepairMaster Terms and Conditions can be seen here. Full RepairMaster terms and
